He received his purple and brown belt from Pedro Sauer black belt Roland Malone Guiterrez. He competed for the first time after 6 months training, and started teaching as a blue belt under Gracie Barra alongside his coach Vinnie Carlucci. This is where Carlos started training Jiu-Jitsu with Team Choko in 2005. He currently has one affiliate school, on the Rota US navy military base. When he’s not rolling, he’s high on life and always in flow.Ĭarlos runs the The Flow Academy in Marbella, Spain. Carlos is a 3rd degree Jiu-Jitsu black belt, who breathes Jiu-Jitsu and eats white belts for breakfast (its a joke, he’s actually 100% vegan).
